ADDENDUM No.1
IFB25-052 Instructional Technology Equipment for Hopwood Middle School
This Addendum No. 1 is issued by the Public School System to provide clarification to the questions received from the bidders.
Q.1 - Discontinued Model
The specifications list the SMART Board 6000S-V3. We understand that the 6000S Series is no longer in production and has been superseded globally by the RX Series for education. The IFB also specifies a SMART Assure warranty; however, since the 6000S Series is discontinued, no manufacturer warranty is available for this model.
Question: Will PSS accept the updated RX Series as the replacement model?
A.1 – You may submit the documentation from the supplier stating that the requested model is discontinued, and the recommended replacement model and specifications to ensure they meet or exceed the original request.
Q.2 - Model Number Requirement
The General Instructions require bidders to provide Brand Name, Model Number, and Data Sheet.
Question: If substitution of the RX Series is permitted, should bidders provide RX Series data sheets and model numbers in place of the discontinued 6000S?
A.2 – Yes, you should provide the recommended replacement model and specifications to ensure they meet or exceed the original request.
Q.3 - For the model of smart board model: SBID-62865-V3 does this model really need to be the same model as the item, or maybe a different model?
