Praxis Test Name Codes for the CNMIThe State Board of Education passed the PRAXIS requirement for all teachers and teacher applicants to pass PRAXIS I and PRAXIS II prior to August 1, 2006 and counselors, school administrators, and program managers, coordinators, education specialists, or component coordinators under the CIA department and applicants for these positions shall be required to pass PRAXIS I and PRAXIS II prior to July 31, 2007.

With the approved five year trajectory, the deadline for PRAXIS compliance is July 31, 2011. Consequently for school year 2011-2012, PSS will retain as well as hire only the highly qualified teachers, counselors, and administrators.
