As required by the US Office of Special Education Programs, Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, the CNMI Early Intervention Program takes an unduplicated child count on December 1 of each year of infants and toddlers with disabilities who have a current Individualized Family Service Plan on December 1 of the year. The count is sent to the US Office of Special Education Programs. The count includes children served under one year old, all children served birth to three years old, the gender and ethnicities of the children served, the primary service location, and exit data. The following data tables represent the Child Count and trend data for the last few years in the CNMI. Percentages are based on the 2000 Population Census.
