Executive Summary:

The Office of The Technology & Communication Networks supports the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands Public School System’s core goals aligned with The CNMI Technology Plan.

Goals:

• To provide technical assistance to Central Office personnel and the schools within the CNMI Public School System and provides a resource person for a wide range of software applications related questions.
• Assist in maintaining the connectivity of the PSS Wide Area Network and serve as a technical support for email, web, and ecourse services.
• Provide technical assistance to Central Office personnel and the schools within the CNMI Public School System and provides a resource person for a wide range of technology related questions.

The Technology and Communication Networks support numerous services ranging from voice, video teleconferencing, data network, and funding for services needed to support all K-12 communications and data services (Erate).  In addition, we support training and installation of technology that facilitates student academic achievement by working closely with schools and other department units to ensure that the PSS network infrastructure is capable of supporting solutions that are to be integrated into the classrooms.
